The pictures here have been taken by my daughter, when she was 15 years old, during her school trip to the ‘Rann of Kutch’, a salt desert on the western tip of the state of Gujarat in India. ‘Rann’ means a salt marsh. Beyond the green cover or the rocks all you can see is the salt, dazzling white or pink in color, so much so that even the distinction between the land and sky is blurred.

Thanks!! yes, she loves to take pictures. In fact most of the pictures on my posts have been taken by her and I post them with her permission.
for quiet a few years now,whenever we travel, she’s the one who commands the camera and I get to use it only early in the mornings when she’s sleeping and I get to take the morning shots!! 
More lovely shots from your talented daughter. These photos look “other worldly”. Like they are photos sent back from space exploration, especially the 4th image. I have not ever seen anything like it. Thanks to both you and your daughter for sharing. I always enjoy my trips to India when I visit you!

and I assure you , you will not be disappointed. Its a country of many colors. In fact its my wish to explore my country first and then embark upon foreign shores. I haven’t seen this place, even though its not very far from my city, but the pictures had made me go WOW! So hopefully sometime in the future I will be able to see for myself.
